I know I haven’t been keeping up on my posts lately. As I mentioned, my carpel tunnel has really been acting up and I’ve been trying to rest my tired hands. However, today is such a special day, I couldn’t help but bring a little attention to it! Four years ago I married the love of my life. It’s amazing how I’m just in love with him today as I was that memorable day years ago. Of course, we have our ups and downs – who doesn’t? But the fact that we always get through it (stronger than before) is a true testate to how much we truly love each other. He’s not just a wonderful husband, but also a “dad to be” – a job that I know he will be amazing at (he’s pretty much a baby whisperer). So…happy anniversary to my best friend!

And of course this post wouldn’t be complete without a few nostalgic photos of our wedding day…enjoy!

Me – slightly nervous, but very excited!!!

Our photos taken outside
Roberts Park United Methodist Church

Photos taken at Holcomb Gardens.
Which is kind of funny because at the time
I had no idea they were a part of Butler University.
Must have been fate!

One of my favorites because my cousin
is giggling at us kissing. Adorable!

Our reception at the (former) Music Mill.

Classic cake smoosh! Matt thought he got me,
but in the end, he had it all over him!

Quite possibly one of the most elegant and chic weddings that I’ve had the privilege of being a part of!

My dear friend, Leslie Jones, introduced me to the adorable Miss Beth Clayton (now Mrs. George) while she was in The Wedding Studio purchasing her dream dress. I immediately knew I wanted to have my part in her wedding. First of all, Beth is a doll! She had a good idea of what she was looking for, but still left it up to me to interpret creatively. Second, her wedding was going to be at Laurel Hall – one of my most favorite venues in Indianapolis! And third, she was having Dawn Fisher of Galleria Studios shoot the wedding! I just knew that this was shaping up to be one heck of a wedding!

Beth and Nick’s wedding invites were probably one of the most detail oriented suites that I’ve worked on! The outside of the invitation was wrapped in a hand sewn fabric wrap (the fabric was actually the same as the bridesmaid dresses – nice touch).

Then the inside of the invitations, I had fixed jewels onto the actual invite. The additional pieces were stair-stepped and included the response card, directions card and accommodation card. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I think they turned out FABULOUS!!!

But that’s not all I created for this spectacular wedding! For the actual ceremony and reception I created programs, menu table tents, signature drink sings and table numbers. They went along beautifully with the overall look (created by Leslie Jones Weddings and Events – Beth’s wedding planner).

But of course, I can’t just dazzle you with photos of my work… Here are a few other stunning shots captured by the very talented Dawn Fisher.

I just couldn’t resist posting a little something about the hats worn at the royal wedding…. the good, the bad and the ugly! Which one is your favorite? And you can’t just pick David Beckham because he’s a hot!

A royal wedding supporter catching a quick pic.

Another couple of supporters of the royal wedding.
That looks like a DIY hat…and I kinda’ like it!

They clean up nice… not that he doesn’t
look too shabby in just jeans and a t-shirt!

A prim and proper looking wedding guest.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and another wedding guest.
Personally, I like the “Bobby Hat.”

I wish I could say that I woke up at 4 this morning to watch the royal wedding kick off…but I love my sleep way too much. I did, however, catch some of the highlights. So far my favorite part was Kate’s wedding dress.

She arrived at Westminster Abbey wearing a long-sleeved wedding dress with English and French Chantilly lace appliqué bodice, satin gazar pleated skirt and nine-foot train by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. Her bridal look included a full veil, a Cartier tiara borrowed from the Queen and a small bouquet of white blooms. Her hair was styled half-up, half-down.

News reports are comparing it to Grace Kelly’s dress. What do you think?

Jennifer Driscoll is one busy lady! Not only did she photograph Sarah Beth and Jeff’s wedding, but she also found some time to shoot their wedding stationery for me! Check it out!!!

I’m doing it again… Posting another “Real Wedding” that I’ve covered before. Once again, this is because I had been too impatient to wait for the photos that Jennifer Driscoll was taking. So, this is somewhat a combination of several previous posts. The first one covered the amazing calligraphy work done by Jane Farr, the next was the gorgeous photography taken at Nicole and Ryan’s wedding by none other than Andrew Scalini and finally, the  stunning stationery shoot done by Jennifer. Enjoy!

First, a couple shots that I took…

The envelopes were hand stamped (by me).
I then gave the stamp to Nicole and Ryan
so that they could continue using it
for every day snail-mail.

A photo taken by Jane, showcasing her beautiful calligraphy.

And now for Jennifer and Andrew’s photos!

Nicole and Ryan’s save the dates…

Their reception was held and the always fabulous IMA!

And last, but not least,
a photo of the happy couple!

A while back I posted a few pictures of one of my favorite wedding sets (Lindsey + Ryan). I should have waited until I had these photos (taken by Jennifer Driscoll). She really captured the simple elegance of this wedding! I also wanted to include some actual shots from their wedding, which were taken by Bowersock Photography. They truly did an amazing job!!!!!

Lindsey and Ryan wanted to send out
a fun and festive save the date,
but still representing the New Orleans theme.
I decided to create a “jazz poster” to get their party kicked off.

For the wedding invitations,
they wanted something a bit more formal
with an obvious NOLA feel.

These were all of their
“day of pieces.”

The escort cards were hung on
Mardi Gras beads and were encased
in a custom made shadow box.

I also made favor stickers
for the festive cupcake boxes.

And of course, a shot of the
beautiful couple…

I know I’ve featured this adorable couple before, but I recently had the very talented Jennifer Driscoll photograph Tiffany and Ryan’s wedding stationery. I just wanted to give you all a peak!

And here are a few photos taken by Jennifer at Tiffany and Ryan’s wedding….stunning!!!
