Happy Friday all! In the spirit of the first day of Fall, I thought this would be a great post!

I don’t know about you, but I could use some good laughs today! Even though this has absolutely nothing to do with weddings or designs, I felt the need to share the smiles… I found these hilarious and clever Halloween costumes on Pinterest – most of which are DIY!!! Enjoy!

1. Passion to Personalize

This year’s weddings are all about paying attention to the details and giving your wedding memorable touches to reflect your passion, personality and style. Personalize your wedding stationery with signature colors, fun fonts, playful patterns and unique wording to set the tone.

2. Pretty Pockets

Oh so pretty and oh so practical. It’s no wonder that Pocket folds are a favorite Invitation type. Ideal for modern brides and destination weddings, Pockets are the perfect choice for keeping all of your wedding info neat and organized. Fill your pockets with Enclosure and RSVP Cards and then seal with love.

3. Captivating Colors

Bold and tropical colors are the hottest hues for 2011, with Pantone’s warm honeysuckle pink as a featured favorite. Gray is the new black and the preferred neutral. Color trends are fun, but it is really all about your favorite colors. Personalize your wedding stationery and give it the color burst that you love with any combination you want.

4. Modern Monogram

From custom-designed wedding logos to a gorgeous showcasing of the bride and groom’s initials, modern monograms are an artful trend in wedding stationery. Beautify and set your Save the Dates and Invitations apart with a monogram. Carry the design to your Favors and Thank Yous for a look that’s well rounded and uniquely yours.

5. Vintage Charm

A vintage look and feel is one of the most popular wedding trends today. From attire to décor, integrate the charm of a different era into your modern wedding. Since your wedding stationery is the first glimpse that guests will see, define your style and set the mood with classic patterns, distinctive fonts and retro-inspired elements.

6. Simple Sophistication

Combining simplicity with elegance, couples with this wedding style will be drawn to designs that have an effortless and understated quality to them. Personalize your Save the Dates and Wedding Invitation ensemble with script fonts and muted colors to reflect your uncomplicated yet elegant style.

7. Lovely Layers

Easily translate this look to your wedding stationery by layering your Invitations with sheer Vellum Bands, decorative Seals and colorful Envelope Liners. Wrap your wedding stationery with lovely layers and invite your guests to discover the beauty that lies underneath.

8. Thoughtful Themes

Creating continuity throughout your entire wedding has never been easier – than with a wedding theme. From beach wedding themes that feature seaside motifs to the fairytale feel of a royal wedding, a prominent theme will keep a wedding look consistent, from beginning to end.

9. Cultural Chic

Modern couples are embracing their culture and finding ways to sprinkle unique elements from their heritage and background across their wedding. Make a stylish statement with your Invitations, Programs, Favors and Thank Yous using distinguishing designs, unique wording and custom colors.

10. Eco-Friendly

Making less of a carbon footprint is only growing in popularity as a lifestyle trend. Eco-conscious couples appreciate chic and earth-friendly wedding invitation alternatives like 100% post-consumer fiber, Green Seal Certified Linen paper and the 100% cotton paper of our Letterpress Invitations.

This beautiful backyard wedding had so many quaint ideas, I just had to share them with you. Many seem pretty easy to make (or hire one of your bridesmaids/groomsmen to take on the job). To see the full gallery, simply click here.

I often ask my brides what type of wedding they’re having. Seems like a logical question… Of course, this can mean many things to many different people. However, when my bride tells me that they are having a classic wedding, this is what comes to mind. Something about the deep reds in this photo shoot just scream classic romance! Feel free to click on any of the photos to view the entire gallery (featured on Style Me Pretty).

Yeah, I’m still pregnant…that’s undeniable now! Looking like I ate a big dinner is a thing of the past. We’ve moved on to a full blown baby bump!

The third trimester is proving to be a bit more challenging than the second (which was pretty smooth sailing). I’ve discovered that I have a pretty *awesome* case of carpal tunnel (note the sarcasm), which has really put a wrench in me working on our little lady’s nursery bedding. Of course, she’s not going to wait on me, so I’m just going to have to find a stick and bite down on it! Hahaha… I’ve also got a little pinched nerve in my back which has been giving me some trouble as well.

That all being said, I wouldn’t give it up for the world. If a little pain is what I have to endure for our little lady…it’s well worth it. Their is an end in sight for the minor aches and pains. So it’s nothing that can’t be dealt with! Quoting one of my favorite movies, “The juice is worth the squeeze.”

Noticed this cute trend with wedding invitations. A lot of them have been incorporating “banners.” I’ve actually done this with a couple of my designs as well (have yet to get them photographed). Thought I would share these with you…Enjoy!!!

I’m always keeping an eye out for the latest trends in wedding stationery. Another popular look is the “retro poster.” Again, I’ve done this with a couple of my designs (and I promise, one day I’ll post those photos). Here are a few that I thought were super cute. Also, feel free to click on any of the images to see additional photos of each invitation suite.

No surprise that it was featured on Style Me Pretty. I decided to check out the rest of the gallery and fell in love this this California desert inspire wedding shoot (taken by Ashleigh Taylor Photography). Check out a few of my personal favs!

Happy Labor Day everyone! Wanted to share this beautiful east cost wedding with all of you (found on Style Me Pretty). For some reason, east cost/nautical/Hamptons style weddings just make me think of Labor Day. Not entirely sure why, but I definitely got that vibe from this wedding.
